The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists in implementing the nursing process throughout the care continuum under the direction of the registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, or licensed practitioner. This practice includes dependent and interdependent functions.
Sanford Children's is looking for an energetic, hard working, team orientated pediatric nurse, who is looking for a fun, fast paced work environment with children, ranging in ages from birth to 18 years. The nurse will be trained in pediatric care, procedures, department workflows and be involved in the reach out and read program as a team. The LPN position is for an up and coming new provider practice, applicant must be dependable, work well in a team and have great communication skills with children and their families.
This position is fulltime, 80 hours per pay period.
Must have graduated from a school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Associate's degree in practical nursing is preferred.
Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility.
Requires current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice.
